Dear Readers,

During this time of year one does not wish to write or review anything that would break the Christmas spirit. So I’ll refrain from any remarks that would be considered controversial or negative and wish you a Joyous Holiday Season.

President Obama is coming under fire by questioning his leadership concerning the Syrian Civil War, and the recent Nuclear Deal with Iran. Those policies are the continued destruction and evacuation of poison chemicals from Syria, and Iranian compliance with all requirements set forth at present in the agreement and over the next six months. Let’s hope these two issues work out for the benefit of the United States and let’s give Peace a Chance.

On a lighter note here are the lyrics of a lovely Christmas Song written and often sung by Celine Dion, and included without her permission, but I’m sure she wouldn’t mind me reprinting it .

                                                        And So This Is Xmas

So this is Christmas and what have you done

Another year’s over a new one has just begun

So this is Christmas and I hope you have fun

To near and the dear ones, the old and the young

So have a merry, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I hope it’s a good one without any fear

And a Merry Christmas to the weak and the strong

To the rich and the poor ones, these wars have been too long

And a happy, Happy New Year to the black and the white

To the yellow and red ones, let’s stop all the fight.

So a merry, Merry Christmas  and a Happy New Year

                                                           I hope it’s a good one

                                                             Without any fear.

And of course a little: NOSTALGIA

To those who served in Vietnam willingly, some unwillingly, and those who dodged, protested the war, or were just passing through, remember this one sung by “Country” Joe McDonald  in 1969 that brought down the house at Woodstock?

Come on all you big strong men

                                             Uncle Sam needs you again

He’s got himself in a terrible Jam

                                             Way down yonder in Vietnam

So put down your books and pick up your gun

We’re gonna have a lot of fun.

And its one, two, three, four

What are we fighting for ?

                                           Don’t ask me, I don’t give a damn

                                                     Next stop is Vietnam.

And it’s five, six, seven, eight

                                               Open up those Pearly Gates;

There ain’t no time to wonder why

                                               Woopie___ We’re all gonna die.

                                                   Regrettably 58,209 did.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a great year ahead.

All the Best

Ron Miller.
